VGC Blastoise

Blastoise is a Pokémon introduced in Generation 1.

Blastoise mostly functions on Rain teams, due to its Hidden Ability, Rain Dish, but it can also use Torrent well. It is decently bulky, has a good typing, and has average offensive stats. It's defensive profile allows it to run Shell Smash to boost its mediocre offenses and speed.

As Blastoise is a Water type, it has a good defensive typing.

• +Blastoise can use Ice Beam to stop opposing Grass types from taking it down.
• +Blastoise has Icy Wind to support its team, and also has Haze.
• +Blastoise, as a special attacker, is not afraid of a Burn.
• -It can be hard to set up Shell Smash and keep those boosts due to Haze.
• -It using Haze also removes its stat boosts.
• -It is weak to Volt Switch.
