VGC Charizard

Charizard is a Pokémon introduced in Generation 1.

Charizard mostly functions on Sun teams, due to its Hidden Ability, Solar Power. It is decently fast, has decent Special Attack and access to Will-O-Wisp, Solar Beam, Rock Slide, Helping Hand and Weather Ball.

Charizard resists U-turn, and has a favorable defensive matchup to Grass-type Pokémon and a valuable immunity to Ground.

• +It can launch off powerful sun-boosted, STAB-boosted, Solar Power-boosted Weather Balls.
• +It has a immunity to being burned.
• -Solar Power rapidly wears down its HP; This can make it hard for Charizard to stay in long.
• -It has a 4x weakness to Rock, which means that it has to watch out for Rock Slide.
• -Charizard heavily relies on Sun being up.
• -Charizard cannot fit all the moves that it wants to into its movepool.
